Hi Asylum Patrons,
Mike Of The Asylum here. Apologies for having been gone so long. It, as always, has been crazy here. So what's been happening? Well, mostly boring behind the scenes stuff. I celebrated my first year since taking The Asylum full time back in December. When I say celebrated what that really entails is lots of paperwork and crunching numbers ready for those who need it. This leaves very little time to create content and really get stuck in to things as I should be able to.
The hard part has now past (for the time being) and I decided to give The Asylum a well overdue facelift, and (hopefully) improved optimization, following some feedback I've received from you, The Asylum residents. What does that involve? Well continue reading to find out...
First of all I made some tweaks to The Asylum's aesthetics and simplified the homepage to only include the latest additions to the site. This should put all New Arrivals at your fingertips as soon as they're available.
Not only that, but I have included a link to see all the latest toys on one page. This can be found via the primary 'Shop' drop down menu in the navigation bar (at the top of the screen). Or, you can find this page by following the 'Shop All New Arrivals' link on the right hand side of the 'Toys: New Arrivals' bar on the home page.
The next big change, where applicable, I have added all available products to each main category page. This should make browsing products much easier. Of course all categories are also broken down in to more refined groups for easier browsing.
If your browsing though stock and find a product from a line you're interested in simply click the image and you can see all the products available from that line by following the category links above the product image (see the Batcave picture to see where to find these.
There is now a search bar available on all pages which should make navigation easier.
Last but not least, if you need to get back to The Asylum homepage from anywhere on the site simply click The Asylum logo to be transported back and start from the beginning again...
I'm always looking for ways to improve The Asylum on all platforms so if you have any ideas or suggestions as to what you'd like to see here just let me know.
As always, I hope you enjoy your visit. I have lots of new stock arriving in the next couple of days so be sure to keep an eye out here, or on your favourite social media platform, for updates.
I've been Mike Of The Asylum and I'll catch you again soon.
